Whether you're big or small, the Lynx Trail in Plättig is the place to be🫣. A highlight in the Black Forest, located right next to the Wilderness Trail, simply great.
A wonderful experience for the whole family. "Telescopes" keep appearing along the route (a piece of pipe that you can look through, which allows you to get a focused look at papier-mache wild animals, which you can see through the pipe or not :-). Then you should visit an eye doctor :-). The route leads almost entirely along narrow paths, over rocks, stairs and footbridges. You even have to master a stream crossing. Great fun for children of all ages. On interactive boards you can guess animal noises or find out information about the lynx and its way of life. Five stars out of five possible from me.@
A (natural) experience in a class of its own 😵. For that you get five ⭐-es from me 👍. If you have the opportunity - and are sufficiently off-road capable 😅, you shouldn't miss it: https://www.schwarzwald-informationen.de/wandern-an-der-schwarzwaldhochstrasse/luchspfad-plaettig.html
The lynx trail is really very recommendable our children loved it .........
The many ups and downs seemed to me to be much more than 90 meters in altitude. Good footwear and surefootedness are necessary. Right now the roots on the paths are slippery and the leaves on the ground only give an idea of what is underneath. There are a few benches (at the jump station and towards the end of the stream crossing at the Auerhahn spy station) and a large rest area about halfway down the path.
Out and about with the grandchildren today. The Lynx Trail is perfect for a hike. It's very varied for children, and the grown-ups have fun too! The path through the forest was beautifully shady! From the Plättig parking lot, it's only 1.2 km to the Kohlbergwiese Inn, where you can enjoy good food and drinks, and the kids can romp around undisturbed on the playground.
Sturdy shoes and sure-footedness are required.
