Very nice tour with great views, tough climbs and single trails. We only met 2 hikers on the tour and saw 1 mountain biker whizzing past in the distance. Otherwise, heavenly peace.
These were extremely beautiful, varied paths in the best hiking weather. The part through the raised moor was nice and long (could have been even longer 😃) and the small detour for the view of the Glaswaldsee was worth it. Below, a family was bathing in the black water, and at the top we sat on the comfortable bench, watched by a not-so-shy mouse. The only drawback of the path: Unfortunately, there was no place to stop for a break.
Today I found another Devil's Pulpit, also a tower, and caught up with waterfalls number 17. I started at the top of the Kreuzkopfschanze, from where the Devil's Trail begins. From the start, it was a 300m ascent over about 2.7km, partly via stairs through the waterfalls, before then, after the Marienruhe, it was about 1.2km downhill on the Sinfoniesteig to the Sexauer Hut, over rooty paths, so caution is required almost the entire way. After the hut, it was about 2km to the Devil's Pulpit, which I can't recommend because it's closed, but the detour was unacceptable. After the climb, I continued on the Symphony Trail, which leads to the Seeebene junction, via the Lettstädter Hut and the raised bog, about 1.7 km to the Glaswaldseeblick 👀. After the short climb, I walked back downhill for about 5 km ↘️ and then up to the Haberer Tower ↗️. The tower 🗼 was inaugurated in 1899, is 16 meters high, and has 80 steep steps at the end. Caution ⚠️⚠️⚠️ is advised, or you'll end up with a bloody head 🤕🤕🤕. Those were the last meters of altitude or thoughts 🫣🫣🫣 depending on the 😄😄😄 but at the top you have a fantastic view over the Black Forest 🌲🌲🌲 and if you know where it is hidden all the way to the St. Anna Chapel at the Hotel Dollenberg, which I have seen from the third perspective now, but have never been there 😟😟😟 Due to the steps and climbs, it was a medium to difficult tour in the end 🥵🥵🥵 but I missed the ladder 🪜 😪😪😪
