A beautiful hike with a really steep climb at the beginning. The reward is the magnificent view of the lake.
Short and sweet! We had planned a different round with a longer journey. Unfortunately we left too late so we decided on this short round. There was a lot going on at Glaswaldsee, but we still found a quiet spot for a break. Always nice there! Back at the Freiersberghütte, a private party group that had rented the hut treated us to a beer.🍻
Unknown way I got involved in a highlight from @simone today. The Glaswaldsee as the blue eye of the Black Forest. The journey via Hausach and Wolfach alone was very impressive. Since heavy rain came down in the area yesterday, it was pleasant today and there was gurgling and bubbling everywhere. A steep section at the beginning and two mountain bikers at maximum speed met me here. Everything went well 👍. At the top of the nature reserve, the reward was a magnificent view towards the VS and shortly afterwards an unobstructed view of the karst lake. Although it was Sunday, I didn't meet anyone here. Only down at the lake did I meet visitors to the attraction. "Sunny" got vitamin bombs on the way in the form of freshly picked raspberries and blackberries. And I think the dog came up with an estimated berry weight of about 250 grams. The Glaswaldsee lay calm and still in its "bed". I still remember the special light. It felt like autumn. I like this time of year. And on the way back there was a view of the Vosges in the direction of Strasbourg. hp Thanks to @ Simone for the great tour.
The Glaswaldsee is known as the "blue eye" in the middle of the northern Black Forest. It is one of twelve preserved cirque lakes in the Black Forest. Due to its previous use for rafting, which required frequent damming and draining of the water, almost no silting zones could form in the Glaswaldsee. Since 1960, the lake and its surroundings have been designated as the Glaswaldsee nature reserve. At the Glaswald-Seeblick on the Lettstädter Höhe there is a wonderful view of the cirque lake. The See-Ebene (960 meters above sea level) rises about 120 meters above the Glaswaldsee, through whose ridge the Westweg leads on a narrow forest path through a quiet and natural landscape past the Hildahütte to the Lettstädter Höhe. From the Seeebene there is the option of descending to the lake on a steep path about 200 meters long, or choosing a longer and more accessible path to the lake shore.

It's a shame that the tips for arriving by car are given directly, but there's no information about public transport. As is often the case.
