The 46-kilometer-long tour leads largely along former railway lines and past four dams of very different sizes. As always, you can start the round trip wherever it suits you best: The tour leads through Radevormwald, Wipperfürth, Hückeswagen and Remscheid.

There are several places to stop along the way. The neye.café and the Zornige Ameise are particularly nice. From May to October, the route can be reached on weekends and public holidays via the Bergischer FahrradBus.

Places to stop:
- Zornige Ameise (Bever Dam; currently closed; as of February 2025)
- neye.café (Wipperfürth-Neye)
- in Hückeswagen

The following parking lots are suitable as entry points:
- Hohenfuhrstraße parking lot at Rathausplatz (Radevormwald)
- Parking lot at the dam of the Bever Dam (west side, Reinshagensbever)
- Niederlangenberg hiking parking lot (K13)
- Oberröttenscheid hiking parking lot (K13)
- Hiking parking lot at the Wupper fore-dam (Ernst-Pflitsch-Straße, Hückeswagen)
- Parking lots at the Kräwinkler Bridge

Or you can take the bicycle bus (Leverkusen - Marienheide; May-October, weekends and public holidays), exit: Wermelskirchen-Neuenborn or Hückeswagen (Bahnhofsstraße)

Höhsiepen Tunnel

Highlight (Segment) • Structure

A railway tunnel simply adds a special flavor to a cycle path. Due to the environmental regulations of the Oberberg district, a third of the tunnel consists of a shack to protect the bats that live there.

Eschbach Dam

Highlight • Monument

The Eschbachtalsperre is a "pioneer" dam: It is the first drinking water dam in Germany and the oldest in North Rhine-Westphalia. Today it is used as an emergency supply for the city of Remscheid, for ecological management, as flood protection and to raise low water levels.
