Hiking
No matter in what form, water exerts a certain fascination on hikers of all ages. It invites you to play, cool off or just watch. This varied hike takes you and your kids past waterfalls to the Loferer Alm.
The starting point of the tour is from Lofer with the Almbahn I up to the Gasthaus Loderbichl. From the mountain station you follow the well-developed adventure trail, which climbs steadily and is equipped with exciting puzzle stations. You hike through the forest and over small clearings to the rushing waterfalls in the Würmbachtal. You can refresh yourself and take a break at numerous small pools.
Via the Bimalm you finally reach the spacious Loferer Alm, where refreshments and a large alpine playground await. The lift takes you back down to the valley in comfort.

This route was planned by komoot.
Starting point: Loferer Almbahn car park. Take the gondola to the middle station (approx. €20 per person). Recording begins from there.
On our third day of vacation, we finally headed up the mountain, up to the Almenwelt Lofer at 1,350 m. 🏔🇦🇹🐄 When we arrived at the top of the mountain station, we were greeted by a hailstorm, so we postponed our planned summit tour until the next day and first took the waterfall path (No. 50) down to the middle station. The short stage with an elevation gain of 360 meters is actually advertised from bottom to top, but you can also easily do it from top to bottom. We were very happy about this decision when we passed all the exhausted hikers climbing. 🥵 Unlike we expected, the hike was super varied, through forest and meadows, along the stream, to the rushing waterfalls. Simply great!!🤩🌳🌿💧🥾 After the sun came out briefly at the highlight waterfall (perfect for the photos, thank you!) we were then surprised by a heavy rain, so that we could actually have walked through the waterfall. :) 💧💧 After a short break with shelter in the forest, we were able to continue the great tour relatively dry until we were finally able to stop at the middle station at the Loderbich Alm, and even enjoyed the sun and delicious apple strudel on the terrace.😋🌞 PS: My collection for vacation in the Salzburg Saalachtal: https://www.komoot.com/de-de/collection/2680422/-salzburger-saalachtal-lofer
Descent from the mountain station to the mid-station via the waterfall path – very beautiful and very busy. Unfortunately, the Almsee lake is currently being dredged, and I've only seen some nice photos of it from the past.
A very nice hike down the mountain, with many impressions.
