Wolfgang and I walked this route around 3 years ago. We met a ranger who told us that there were 16 different types of orchid in the Kapf nature reserve. Now is the flowering season for orchids. I was so impressed by this route back then that I wanted to walk the route again. We set off with Martina and Anita in search of orchids. We didn't find any orchids, but we did find goose-leaf orchids, ragwort, pyramidal orchids, wood orchids, bird's nest orchid and small twayblade. There are also beautiful flower meadows along the way and the view was great today too.
Start and finish at the Kapf hiking car park in Egenhausen. Two routes are offered, 6.5km and 11.5km. The routes come together in several places and then separate again. Therefore it is essential to pay attention to the signs. We hiked the great distance. This leads, among other things, through the nature conservation area and in a larger arc around Egenhausen. According to the ranger, there is an old bunker from World War II in the nature reserve, which has been uncovered and is now home to bats. There are also 16 different orchid species in the NSG. There is a nice barbecue area in the immediate vicinity of the hiking car park. On the route itself you can enjoy the view from many benches. I loved this hike because of the great view and the NSG and I can only recommend it. Some sections of the route run on tarred paths, otherwise this hike would have deserved the premium trail for me.
Today's round runs mostly on wide gravel roads or asphalt. The view from the Egenhauser Kapf is great. In terms of landscape, there were also very beautiful passages. But on the whole I found the tour rather tough than beautiful
This is the perfect hike in spring🪻☀️ We start at the hiking car park at Egenhausener Kapf and are right in the middle of a truly extraordinary natural landscape that's not at all typical of the Black Forest – which makes it all the more fascinating every time I'm out here. After just a few meters, we reach the AugenBlick (eye view), with a wonderful view of Egenhausen. The trail continues through the most beautiful orchards, which are now blooming in an endless array of colors in spring – what a variety! The hike is not very demanding and very easy to walk – perfect for a relaxing spring day. If you need a (little) refreshment afterward, you can stop on the lovely sunny terrace of the Sauer bakery.
Hello everyone, Today, on Easter Sunday, I wanted to go for a little spin and see something new. Days ago, I saw a tour with a former anti-aircraft position. My interest 🧐 was quickly piqued and I saved the tour. Upon arriving at the hiking parking lot, I put on my hiking boots and off I went. From here, the AugenBlickRunde around Egenhausen started. A small (6.5km) and a larger (11.5km) loop are signposted 🪧. A nice, quiet, and very beautiful area. Several information boards with interesting facts about Egenhausen. At the restored oil mill, I was stopped by a hiker and pilgrim refrigerator. Unfortunately, it was empty, but I first had to read the sign „Egenhäusner Zubringerweg zum Pilgerweg nach Santiago di Compostela“. Finally, I passed several horse paddocks until I arrived back at the hiking parking lot. Off home, a coffee, and enjoy the day. See you 👋
The instant lap starts at the car park at Kampf, the lap is well signposted. You can choose between the large round with approx. 11 km or the shortened small round with approx. 6.5 km
Egenhausen moment round🤗 We start in Waltdorf and walk over the Kapf (highest regional point) until we reach the signposted route. The round is easy to walk and leads through a colorful landscape, Heckengäu, orchards, Black Forest, valleys, streams - it's all there 👍 There are always great views in all directions 🤗 There are loungers and benches along the entire route to linger and take short breaks🍻. With all the ups and downs, it's such a varied round together 👍 Photo description will be available from tomorrow 😉
A hike through pine and juniper trees with snowshoes to the Hornisgrinde summit in the snowy blues. Through orchards and the Bömbach Valley. A touch of sunshine, but be careful! 😉 The paths are quite slippery. 😜 Sometimes there were too many signs, and where needed, I didn't see anything at all. 🤔
