The employee there was very friendly and competent and helped with a map and tips to get the most out of my unfortunately short visit. I would have loved to have seen the exhibition there.

September 14, 2024, Pfadwanderung hinab ins malerische Rohnbachtal

It's not the best weather for hiking but it's not bad weather either. The tour starts in Kaltenbronn, which you can reach with the BW3 call bus. At the information station you can find out about the lynx, which has become native again. It goes along the Black Forest Mittweg I up to the Kaltenbronn Moor. Then it heads towards the tower, which you can also climb. Unfortunately the clouds are very low so I couldn't see very far. It goes through the forest and about halfway along the route towards Enzklösterle there is a very natural path down into the Rohnbach valley. It goes along a steep slope. Then it continues along the wild Rohnbach to Enzklösterle. Then it heads towards the bus stops along the Great Enz. The tour itself was very mystical at the beginning in the fog, which gave the beginning a nice touch. The path itself is easy to hike alone or at most in pairs.

On the most beautiful paths from Kaltenbronn to Enzklösterle. We start at the Kaltenbronn information center and follow the red diamond of the Westweg. It goes uphill a few meters at first, but don't worry, that's the only climb on this tour. We pass the Hohlohsee and continue over the wooden footbridge to the Hohlohturm - if you're motivated, you can take a short detour up here - it's actually always worth it 😍 🌲 We walk on the red diamond to the Prinzenhütte and from here follow the red and white diamond of the Mittelweg and turn onto a wild, almost endless path. Blueberry bushes and cranberries grow to the right and left of our feet, and the last pink flowers of the heather can still be seen everywhere. For the way down to Enzklösterle we switch to the yellow diamond, have an incredibly beautiful view of the Black Forest and pass the old Rombachhof. From Enzklösterle you can take the bus back to Kaltenbronn.

Today we tackled part #7 of the anniversary hike "50 years of the district of Calw". At the beginning we adjusted the route a bit and after "stamping" in the information center we climbed the wonderful wood grouse path. The Hohlohturm was deliberately omitted, it was already on the program several times this year. The hiker can walk an exemplary path for just under an hour to the refuge "Toter Mann" 🤩 and even more natural paths then lead down into the Rombachtal and on to the outskirts of Enzklösterle. Our newspaper published a report about the Rombachhof and its tragic history just a few days ago: https://www.pz-news.de/region_artikel,-Neues-Leben-fuer-den-Todesort-in-Enzkloesterle-_arid,1845879.html

A dream. There is snow on the 7th stage and the hiking is accompanied by wonderful snow flurries. Just beautiful. After a few steps along a small stream, the little brother of the Wildsee raised moor, the Hohlohsee, is reached. I decide to take a break at the top of the Hohlohturm. After a strenuous week at work, I treat myself to a gift from a good friend, a Schneider Weisse, Aventinus Weizen-Doppelbock with 8.2% fuel. Over the next few kilometers, a state of relaxation sets in, like after an hour of massage and sex. That would be a funny advertisement for a brewing product. About the route: Quiet, long paths in wild, rugged nature characterize this stage. PS: If you love blueberries, you can stock up on all sorts of products at the Bilberry House in Enzklösterle.

From the Kaltenbronn information center we first went up to the Hohlohturm, past the beautiful Moorsee. A strong wind was blowing on the tower, but it also ripped up the clouds. So there was a clear view of the Murg valley.... The middle path led through a variety of forests and moor areas with blueberry bushes. That's why we always had to put in small snacks and hands and mouths testified to the many delicious berries. The path led steeply down into the Rohmbach valley and to the destination in Enzklösterle. Wonderful Black Forest bathing on wonderful paths!

On the most beautiful paths from Kaltenbronn to Enzklösterle. Here we go 😁 👉 The tour first takes us to the Hohlohturm, from where you have an incredibly great view in all directions - on some days you can even see the Swiss Alps here, but the view of the Rhine Valley is also fantastically beautiful - a detour to the top is worth it so always. 👉 From here we follow the middle path (red diamond with white rope in the middle). We first walk past the Prinzenhütte on a wide forest path, before the path then turns right into a narrow and, as we soon notice, almost endless path. The nature here is truly extraordinary and incredibly beautiful. The path finally ends at the "Toten Mann" where there is a small hut and seating - perfect for a short break. 👉 Here we leave the middle path and follow the yellow diamond towards Rombachhof. 👉 For a short distance we walk again on a wide gravel path before turning onto another beautiful path and walking downhill to the abandoned Rombachhof. 👉 In the last few kilometers we follow the signs towards Enzklösterle and pass a meadow oven and an ointment oven - here the path takes a bit of a stretch (perhaps because we are a bit tired in the meantime), but we soon make it. 👆 Tip: If you're traveling by car, it's best to park in Enzklösterle and take the bus to Kaltenbronn (Schwarzmiss stop) at the start of the tour. You can park e.g. B. at the sports hall in Enzklösterle, where the bus stop is right on the street.

A tour along the Kegelbach was actually planned, but we were once again stopped by forestry work. So on skid lanes back up to the Kaltenbronn and restart. Info center Kaltenbronn - Diebstichweg - connecting paths to the Mittelweg - path section of the Mittelweg - Hütte Tote Mann - path down into the Rohmbachtal - Rohmbachhof - Wiedenofen - Rohmbach - Enzpromenade - Enzklösterle - Adventure Golf Park
