Münsterland- The border commuter route - cycling between Teuto and Ems. Information about the 4* ADFC round at https://www.adfc-radtourismus.de/ Grenzgaengerroute-teuto-ems/ or directly at: https://www. Grenzgaengerroute.de/ We rode the tour in 3 stages and found a fantastic holiday home from which the individual round tours were started (the starting points were moved accordingly or added to the 3rd round with a short bike ride). There are several lakes and campsites in the vicinity that invite you to swim and/or alternatively spend the night.
At the end of the season, we rode the eastern part of the border crossing tour with our friends. From Glandorf, the route took us via Füchtorf and Sassenberg to Feldmarksee. There we took a short break and enjoyed the view over the lake shrouded in mist. We then rode along the Ems to Warendorf. On the market square, we were able to take a short coffee or ice cream break in the bright sunshine. We then cycled on, partly along the Ems to Einen. We had reserved a table in the bakery there for a coffee and cake. The cake was delicious. We particularly liked the rustic ambience of this café. We went back to Glandorf via Ostbevern.
A new record for me. 75km super tour with nice family members. Seen a lot but also messed around with the wasps a lot.
Today a nice spontaneous Münsterland round greetings go out 🙋 ♂️😎🚴
After spending the night in Glandorf, we set off from there today on circuit number 1 of the border crossing route. This route with its small, quiet back roads and paths was just what we wanted. The Münster "Land" shows itself at its best here.
A castle, cozy farm shops, and picturesque old towns, interspersed with wide meadows, fields, and small lakes – we also really enjoyed the third and final stage of the Teuto-Ems Border Crossing Route. The western circuit is the longest of the three tours. Here, too, our route doesn't quite match the original route in terms of intersections.
https://www.grenzgaengerroute.de/ The Teuto-Ems border crossing route is a 150 km long circular route that can be easily divided into three shorter circuits (original gpx tracks in the link). I started with the southernmost route today, but took a little shortcut here and there. On this tour you follow the Ems cycle path for around 12 km 👍 (ah yes, another project like that...🙃😇) The small town of Warendorf with its cozy market square is a real highlight. Otherwise you cycle a lot "somewhere in the middle of nowhere". The main thing is cycling 👋 PS: As many others have already read, I unfortunately had my problems with Komoot🙈. Luckily I recorded the tour at the same time with my Garmin watch. Everything was fine, only the altitude meters don't match of course 💁
