Hiking
At the start of the tour, you'll get straight up - with the gondola. Because on the summit of the Rüfikopf (2,350 meters) begins this hike. Enjoy the fantastic all-round view and the idyllic mountain landscape - so walking is really fun. The path leads you through a beautiful nature, keep your eyes open for the capricorn colonies.
You hike slightly downhill to the valley floor of the Ochsengümple. Then it goes back to the Rauhekopfscharte at 2,415 meters altitude. The challenging part of the hike is now behind you. The path drops gently and brings you to the Stuttgart hut, where you have earned a break on the sun terrace.
Further downhill you hike to the valley floor of the Pazieltal valley and then to the Trittalpe. Not far, then you have reached your goal Zürs. In the tranquil village you will find several restaurants.
With the blue hiking bus you come from Lech to the Rüfikopfbahn as well as from the center of Zürs back to Lech.

Enjoy an incredibly beautiful day in the mountains today 💚👍🙂🌞. In the morning take the first gondola of the Rüfikopfbahn up to the mountain station 🚡🚡. At the mountain station it was already the best hiking weather with a great view👀. I first went up to the Rüfikopf via the “plant learning trail” 🌻🌼, the 360° all-round view is fantastic👍💚🙂. From the Rüfikopf I follow the Planzenweg down to my further route 🥾 up to the Rauhkopfscharte. The plant educational trail (path) is certainly a great experience in summer when everything is blooming👍. A first highlight was the view 👀 down to Lake Monzabon 💚. The mountain panorama with the Wöster peaks, the Rüfispitze, Mohnenfluh etc. cannot be described in words. But I shouldn't completely lose sight of my first destination, the Stuttgarter Hütte 🙂👀. The path up to the Rauhkopfscharte is not too steep and is mostly already in the warming sun. Once I arrive at the Rauhkopfscharte, my next goal is to see the Stuttgarter Hütte. On the way there I heard a few marmots and lots of them👂they can make a lot of noise🤣🤣. Since the Stuttgarter Hütte is already in "hibernation", I was able to enjoy my lunch break in peace and quiet in the bright sunshine (no one else was there 🤣). I actually wanted to go up to the Fangekarspitze, but after a thorough inspection👀 I abandoned this plan🙈 There was no signpost and I couldn't really see a way there 👀👀 and I couldn't ask anyone 🤣 with Komoot I would probably have found the way, but I just wanted to enjoy this wonderful day 🙂👍🥾🌼🌞 After a long break, I took the path down to Zürs in "Attack" 🥾 The path is easy to walk without any major obstacles. It was a wonderful, quiet hike, I only met 8 hikers 👍🥾🙂.
Today again VCard and the nice weather used for a hike in and around Lech👍🥾 The start was at the mountain station of the Rüfikopfbahn, with the great Geoweg👍 down to Lake Monzabon and back up towards the mountain station. Since we were out relatively early, we could see some very fat (winter fat) Murmile and observe them well After the Geoweg we went over the Rauhkopfscharte to the Stuttgarter Hütte, where we were spoiled with very good food (to be recommended👍) with a fantastic mountain panorama👍. Then it went over the Trittalpe down to Zürs (we didn't necessarily want the same way back) and with the bus back to Lech. It was an incredibly beautiful hike👍🥾
The tour today was bombastic - terrific - just great. In the wonderful sun, the Rüfibahn went up 1000 m. It was surprisingly warm upstairs and there weren't as many people on the mountain as expected. The distant view was awesome. Unfortunately there was a cloud cover over Lake Constance 🙂. We first looked around before we made our way towards the Stuttgarter Hütte. The mountain world up there is fascinating. As much as I like Schleswig Holstein: but mountains like that would be nice too 😉 After 2.5 hours we arrived at the Stuttgarter Hütte, which is run by the Nepalese. So there were first Sherpa dumplings and then Kaiserschmarrn. The sun on the terrace was almost too warm and we enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere there. Then it went downhill towards Zürs. We spotted marmots on the roadside. The only thing I could have done without was the last paved stretch from Tritt-Alpe. But overall it was a really nice hike.
A beautiful hike with an incredible mountain panorama. In the heat here, we wanted to do a shorter tour with not much elevation gain. We took the Lech Rüfisberg cable car up. From here we took the path to the Stuttgarter Hütte. First we went down to a high valley, very beautiful to look at, which we hiked through leisurely to get up to the Rauhekopfscharte on the opposite side. There are a few meters of elevation gain to overcome along the entire route, around 350 meters in total, but today it was extremely warm and at the start it was already around 2350 meters, the highest point 2410 meters. You should always keep that in mind. I didn't feel particularly well up to the gap, just too warm, but the view was very motivating. After crossing the gap, we took a break, calmed my pulse and then continued almost easily to the Stuttgarter Hütte, 😉 in this case only downhill. At the hut, we quickly consumed a noodle soup, a large Joha spritzer and a mango lassi. The young staff were super friendly and quick. With this refreshment, the journey to Zürs was easy to manage. On the way, we saw sheep digging holes in the mountain slope to cool off in the damp earth. Then cows gathered in a stream to cool off in the water with their hooves. It was extremely hot up here.
From the Rüfikopf mountain station, a short detour to Lake Monzabonsee, then into Ochsengümple, where the Rauhkopfscharte awaits with a short but crisp ascent to 2419 meters. With a bit of luck you will see ibex in the rock. From then on, continue comfortably to the Stuttgarter Hütte. Up to here 2 hours should be enough. From the Krabachjoch in the direction of Pazülle / Zürs there is a small rocky section with a rope as an aid, no problem for experienced hikers. The rest is kilometer-eating in a beautiful landscape. Destination bus stop at the entrance to Zürs.
Today we went a little longer and higher. From Zürs to the Stuttgarter Hut we were almost alone. There were lots of marmots. But as soon as the eagle appeared it was quiet and the little loudmouths disappeared. After the hut it got busier, but it was still bearable. The weather, well... at least we stayed dry.💪😁
The day begins with my youngest having a headache and body aches. Not exactly the best conditions for tackling the "king's stage" of the Arlberg Trail. This includes some difficult terrain sections, an increase of over 1000 meters in altitude and a tightly limited time frame due to the cable car times. (The last cable car down from the Valluga mountain station runs at 4.30 p.m.) Since the pure running time is given as 6 hours, there is not much time for extended breaks in between. However, since each stage of the Arlbergtrail also has a less strenuous alternative route and today's alternative only starts from the Stuttgarter Hütte and from there either divides into a further hike to the Valluga mountain station (original tour) or the descent to Zürs, we decide at least to to walk to the Stuttgarter Hütte and then look further. The Rüfikopfbahn takes us from Lech to 2350 meters above sea level and we start our way to the Stuttgarter Hütte over beautiful high valleys to the Rauhkopfscharte (2419 meters) which forms the border between Vorarlberg and Tyrol. You have wonderful views from up here and the previous path and the further path to the Stuttgarter Hütte, which continues to meander through beautiful high valleys and only has a few meters of altitude difference in the ascent and descent, is a real feast for the eyes of the mountains. From the Stuttgarter Hütte, the path climbs a little again and reaches a point of the tour in the Erli Joch, from which it would now be 500 meters downhill and on the other side of the mountain uphill again 600 meters. On the opposite side of the valley I can also see the end point of the tour, the Valluga mountain station. Here I turn back, because my youngest stayed at the Stuttgarter Hütte, the decision to take the easier alternative route had already been made there. The way from the Stuttgarter Hütte to Zürs is no less beautiful than the way there, from the Rüfikopf to the hut, through a beautiful high valley. Only when the houses of the village in the valley can almost be seen do the mountain paths change into wider alpine paths and finally turn into hard surface to bring us to the bus stop for line 760, which takes us to St. Anton in just under half an hour brings. Tomorrow is our last stage and now we have to keep our fingers crossed that my youngest morning is better again. And together we have already decided to tackle this stage again in the original in the near future.
Nice tour from the Rüfikopf mountain station to the Stuttgarter Hütte and down to Zürs. The Stuttgarter Hütte is run by a Nepalese couple. Specialty momos (filled dumplings). We recommend.
