Caution! As of mid-February 2022, the path from km 4.0 to km 4.9 is closed due to tree felling and is actually impassable. There are thick beech trunks on the way and sometimes whole crowns on the way. So it's better to wait a month or two before running it - or reschedule this part.

Another truly memorable tour, a fantastic blend of nature and ancient ruins. I hadn't yet visited Wertheim Castle. It's definitely worth a visit! And the garden of the monastery café is a wonderful place to sit. The path between Wertheim and Reicholzheim, with its views of the Tauber River below, was simply superb. A highly recommended hike! 🤩🤩
