Dien-Mut-Weg - Hiking at Lake Achensee

Hiking

On the shore of the Achensee, we start. From there you go straight to the path of contemplation. The two-kilometer-long path is dedicated to the serving and courageous saint Notburga and has 18 stops to contemplate.

St. Notburga is the only holy Tyrol. Her skeleton is placed on the high altar of the pilgrimage church St. Notburga in the district Eben in Maurach.

Along the path, many benches invite you to linger, to reflect and to reflect. The path leads mostly through the forest and always provides beautiful views of the Achensee. On the way there is a long break on the cozy Rodlhütte (sportwoell.at/achensee/rodlhuette). With a wonderful view of the Achensee and Pertisau, you can treat yourself to delicious food.

Freshly strengthened, you will hike down into the valley to Pertisau. Here ends the leisurely hike. From here you can either hike back to the starting point on the shores of the lake or you can take the bus 9550 back.

Info: The Dien-Mut-Weg has its own brochure, which you can get at the tourist information offices in the region. You can also find the brochure here: https://www.achensee.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/besinnungsweg-achensee.pdf.

Rodlhütte – View over Lake Achensee

Highlight • Mountain Hut

In winter you can start to tobogganing from here, in summer the hut is a great place for a break - including beautiful views over the Achensee and the surrounding mountains. Especially recommended is the homemade Kaiserschmarrn. If you are an early riser, you can also have breakfast on the scenic terrace by appointment. The Rodlhütte is open daily from 10am to 5pm.
