Nice walk for children, the effort is worth it, lots of interesting information on the boards so boredom doesn't stand a chance. Parking in Austria costs 6 euros for the day. Entry to the waterfall trail costs 4 euros per adult and 2 euros per child (as of 2024). There are a few interactive stations so you can plan half a day, there are also benches almost everywhere to rest. All in all very beautiful and not as crowded as the Partnachklamm and this gorge is free.
Today, on the way to acclimatization, a short but nice hike through the Geistklamm between Leutasch and Mittenwald.
... the pictures cannot reflect the live impression ... anyone who has already been here understands my rollercoaster comparison 😉
A family-friendly and fun-filled walk through the Leutasch Ghost Gorge, which is open from May to October. This hike partially goes over a footbridge so you can walk right through the gorge and there are information boards along the way to learn about the gorge. With the opportunity to visit the waterfall at the end of the gorge, have lunch along the way or play at one of the playgrounds scattered around, this 1.5-hour hike can be a full-day activity. This tour can also be reached by bus every day! Bus number 431 runs from Mittenwald via Leutasch and stops right at the start of the hike.
Suitable only for people who do not suffer from vertigo. The way back is a steep hill. Friends with poor physical condition complained about the incline. Very pleasant route for lovers of heights. There are kiosks and toilets. Parking lot is very small. It is difficult. There is a lot of dust.
A really nice hike through the Geisterklamm. With a few inclines that can be easily mastered. Also doable for smaller children. Along the way there are always funny goblins who tell the story of the gorge spirit. A detour must definitely be made to the Leutasch waterfall. The extra entrance fee is small and really worth it.
Beautiful walk through the gorge. Parking 6 euros. And if you want to walk to the waterfall, 4 euros for adults and 2 euros for children, pay in cash. But it is a beautiful piece and nice and fresh, maybe even cold on a less warm day.
https://www.seefeld.com/leutasch-tirol/geisterklamm Highly recommended for families, especially since there is no entrance fee. There is much to discover in the realm of ghosts and goblins. There was only coolness today on the waterfall trail on the German side, which is subject to a fee.
