In search of a 100km long gravel tour, we came across this great find via the new Discovery function on Komoot! 😍 From Salzburg it goes over the Moosstraße in the direction of Fürstenbrunn, where the first gravel paths are already waiting against the backdrop of the Untersberg. ⛰️ Along the Saalach to Bad Reichenhall, the path leads up into the beautiful and wild Aschauer Klamm! With the rushing torrent of the Aschauer Klamm in your ears, you drive through small stone tunnels and moderately steep gravel paths up to the Aschauer saddle. The whole time you are surrounded by an imposing mountain panorama. The Prädigtstuhl, the Loferer Steinberge or the Leoganger Steinberge - the next rugged cliffs are always in sight on this tour! In order to crack the 100 km, we have extended the tour to St. Martin bei Lofer and then follow the Saalachtal cycle path back to Salzburg. The Saalachtal cycle path is often gravel, until Salzburg it is always slightly downhill and the second half of the tour flies by! A wonderfully beautiful route that includes both steep climbs, lively sections and countless vantage points. Once again a highlight discovered on the doorstep! woo-hoo! 🚲😃 #planlessdiscovermore
