Let your mind and soul unwind, swing in hammocks, feel the lightness and sense the Wörthersee – the Schaukelweg offers all of this on one of Austria's most impressive lakes. This trail offers the best conditions for slowing down. Just as a true Slow Trail should be.
But you can enjoy more than just the peace on your hike, as the trail has a lot to offer in terms of sights. You will pass a pagan cult site, the Opferstein, and can explore the mountain church of St. Margarethen, the Reifnitz castle ruins, and the church of St. Anna. Along the way, you will repeatedly encounter swings and hammocks that invite you to linger and relax with a view of the magnificent lake.
At the starting point of the hike, you will find a large parking lot to leave your car.
