Slow Trail South Bank – Holiday Region Millstätter See-Bad Kleinkirchheim-Nockberge

The fantastic mountain panorama is reflected in the glittering water, hammocks invite you to relax on the shore, and a boat trip is the crowning glory: Your excursion to the southern shore of the Millstätter See is the perfect day at the lake!

You start at the parking lot of the Slowtrails Südufer. From a scenic slope, you descend via a few steps to the shore. Then it gets adventurous: The only natural root path around the Millstätter See leads you directly along the water, past hidden coves and sandy beaches. In between, you'll discover cozy hammocks along the way where you can unwind. Here you can enjoy the views of the villages on the northern shore, the Millstätter Alps, and the mountains. Pure deceleration!

On information boards along the path, you'll also learn interesting facts about the Seelehen, boat architecture, and fishing. You can wonderfully combine your eventful day with a boat trip from Millstatt.

Alternatively, you can also start the hike at the ship's landing stages Seenixe and Großegg and follow the course of the lake from there.

Note: Cycling is prohibited on the Slow Trail.
