Hiking
At an impressive 1,829 meters high, the Hohe Salve is considered THE panoramic mountain in the Kitzbühel Alps. The nice thing is that you don't even need special skills or physical fitness to climb it - the summit is "flown to" directly with the gondola from Hopfgarten or Söll. On this tour you don't go up, but all around. A high-altitude path with great views, which of course does not skimp on culinary highlights.
The tour starts at the mountain station of the Hochbrixen gondola lift. The idyllic Filzalmsee can be reached from here in a few minutes and if you like, you can treat yourself to a first refreshment in the hut of the same name. Smaller hikers will only appreciate this - after all, there is a well-equipped adventure playground nearby. Just don't make yourself too comfortable. Because the actual tour is only just beginning.
Another lake, the Salvensee at the foot of the Hohe Salve, shows up on the first two kilometers. Then you dive into the panorama trails around the panoramic summit. First past the Rigi Inn, then the Kraftalm and the Stöcklalm, you hike over the Silleralm back to the starting point.
A very important highlight on the way deserves your undivided attention: The Frankalm welcomes you just under one and a half kilometers before the end of your tour. And a stop here is really worth it! As a typical Tyrolean hut with a uniquely rustic charm, you can still experience our state from its original side. And the cuisine too! Enjoy Brettljause & Co. before you walk back to the starting point.

This route was planned by komoot.
This route was a Komoot suggestion: a leisurely scenic route, even without a summit. Hochsöll is more suited to families with children. They have a lot to offer there, too. We finished it quite quickly (it was Whitsun holidays, so it was too busy for us). We really liked the Alpengasthof Rigi (very friendly service) and the Siller-Alm (primitive).
The trail wasn't particularly scenic, but the panorama was fantastic. The Grossvenediger is powdered white.
