Since the weather forecast (and the weather) was a bit cloudy today, I headed for one of the signposted short tours in the area. I also started the tour in Pfaffenrot from the train station in Marxzell.Yes, suitable for the weather and the hiking boots stayed clean on the Umtergrund 🙂👍
Target group: Pilgrims or religiously motivated walkers who can appreciate wayside crosses, churches and wayside shrines and accept a continuously paved path. "The Pfaffenroter KreuzWeg connects numerous wayside crosses and wayside shrines. On the Pfaffenroter plateau there are also wonderful views. The tour starts at the town hall and the St. Wendelinus chapel. Passing the Kantebuahaus village museum and the St. Josef church, you get to the first wayside cross at the end of the village . Across meadows with great views you walk past further wayside crosses and wayside shrines around the village back to the starting point." A larger hike was actually planned for today, but this stupid storm that we've had all weekend has thwarted our plans. So today there was only this walk on the quality path "Pfaffenroter Kreuzweg". The tour itself is nothing special, but it was on the way and we could enjoy the wind, rain and fresh air :-)
