The trail begins with a leisurely gondola ride to the mountain station at 1,860 meters. From here, a wide, easy-to-walk gravel path leads you first over the summit of the Spieljoch, which offers breathtaking views of the Zillertal Valley.

From the Spielerjoch, the trail continues to the Geolsalm and Gartalm. This 400-year-old alpine hut still bears traces of the silver mining era. The trail continues through treeless terrain to the Gamssteinhaus (Loassattel 1,683 meters) and further towards the Maschentalalm and Lamarkalm, all the way to Hochfügen. You'll find refreshment stops at various points along the trail, including the Gartalm and inns in Hochfügen. The bus takes you back to Fügen.
