Big5 Five mountains, six cable cars and an exciting bike adventure. The BIG-5 Bike Challenge combines six cable cars and five mountains around Saalbach Hinterglemm and Leogang in one large XXL tour, so that you can experience the absolute maximum of fun in one day.
Caught the last ride on the Kohlmeisbahn at 4:10 p.m. and got home via a now wet root trail and Steinberg trail... :O
Today, we started from our valley at Bike Park Leogang and rode the Asitz and Wurzeltrail trail transfer line to the neighboring valley at Bike Park Saalbach-Hinterglemm, where we rode some of the park's most popular trails. These included the Panorama Trail, the Hackelberg Trail, and the Z-Line.
Today we went to the Kohlmaiskopf and from there via the Wurzeltrail and the Asitztrail to the Steinberg Line. From the Steinberg Line we went on to the Hangman 2 and then to the Steinberg Link. With the Steinbergbahn back to the big Asitz and from there via the Wurzeltrail, the Panorama Line and the Monti Line to Saalbach. And finally with the Westgipfelbahn again to the Hackelbergtrail and the Buchegg Line. And this time with almost perfect weather for a successful bike day!
Today we took the Kohlmaisbahn up from Saalbach and then over to Leogang via the Wurzeltrail and Asitztrail. In Leogang we rode the downhill world cup route and a few other lines. We are back via the Great Asitz and the root trail to Saalbach. We finished today with the Bergstadl Trail, which demands everything from a technical point of view 😀 Unfortunately, I also had involuntary contact with the ground, 🤷♂️fortunately without consequences. 😂🚵🏻
The meters in altitude were made with the cable car 🚠. The descents were all in the trail.
