Beautiful forest paths, narrow trails, mossy areas and great rock formations. A great, varied tour. Very well signposted.
It was nice today with Kallinche. Windy and also sunshine, today we were really fast too 😂. But with so much chatter, we couldn't concentrate on running. The break was accordingly long. And after the tavern at Kirkeler Burg was open again, there was a cold drink with a correspondingly beautiful view. A great day and a perfect start to the long weekend.
In the best weather today we went on the Kirkeler Tafeltour, which partly runs along the Felsenweg, which alone makes the tour worth seeing. But you always discover something new, on Saturday we had a lot of animals on our tour, today only one, but a special one, “robot dogs” 😉We met two hikers who hiked the tour with their remote-controlled cars 🚘 🚘, none cheap but powerful Jeeps. They do a tour of around 15km in the cars almost every week! Quite fascinating 😊
Hello everyone, the hike we did today is for people who like to walk on narrow rocky paths. We liked the route because it is not the usual paths like where we usually hike. You can look forward to about 90% of the trails. Have fun hiking. Best wishes from the beautiful people 👍😃
Premium hiking trail past impressive rock formations and through beautiful forests for all seasons. The "must have done" in Kirkel. It goes through beautiful forest sections, past impressive sandstone formations, past the only outdoor climbing hotspot in Saarland and to a beautiful vantage point on the Höllerkanzel from where the view extends far into northern Saarland to the Schaumberg. Types of trail: 50% forest trails, 50% narrow paths. Orientation: a lot of trails cross along the route. Currently (2021) the signage is so good that experienced hikers do not need a sat nav. Otherwise, however, - because of the large number of trails - a map and sat nav are useful (for less experienced hikers). There are numerous alternatives as to how the trail can be supplemented, extended, shortened or how you can put together sections that are suitable for strollers. See the Outdooractive circular routes: 1) Rock path, 2) Fir tree, 3) Women's fountain, 4) Geological nature trail, 5) to Peterseiche Many of them follow sections of the Tafeltour. Waypoint circular route: Höllerkanzel - lower rock path - Geological nature trail - Forest classroom - Women's fountain - Rehbrünnchen - Water rocks
The starting point of this 8.5 kilometer circular tour is the car park of the Naturfreundehaus Kirkel. In our experience, walking counterclockwise on this path is much more pleasant and attractive. Spontaneously we decided today to tackle this little “walk” to Kirkel. Two days before, we rumbled almost 45 kilometers on the Nahesteig, so that it served us as a relaxation. A beautiful tour through the Kirkel forest, embedded in the geological nature trail and the rock path. If you are interested in bizarre rock formations, this is the place for you. Climbing is not allowed everywhere, however. The start and end point is the Naturfreundehaus in Kirkel. This is a good place to stop for a break. The menu is manageable and the prices are not excessive. Some of the rooms are named after committed nature lovers. "Mariechen" was my grandmother
This hiking tour is beautiful! Mostly single trails with a challenging climb at the beginning. But you will then be rewarded with great, varied terrain and very beautiful rock formations. Only recommended!!!
