On the trail in @GesundLand Vulkaneifel I parked at the community center in Sarmersbach. The trail initially leads from Sarmersbach to the edge of the municipality of Nerdlen. Along the trail are beautiful green clover meadows, which give this HeimatSpur its name. I pass the Nerdlen Panorama Hut, with a magnificent view over the Struth River. From there, the trail continues steadily uphill into the forest until near the Hörscheid Chapel, which is worth a short detour. From Hörscheid, the trail descends to below the Liesertal Bridge. From there, the trail continues along the Lieserpfad back to the small village of Nerdlen. Outside the village, the trail crosses the Eulenbrücke (currently extremely muddy because a new embankment has been built) and along the Sarmersbach stream back to the starting point. Numerous benches along the trail invite you to take a relaxing rest amidst nature.
https://www.komoot.com/de-de/collection/1053931/-auf-den-spuren-von-natur-und-geschichte-heimatspuren-in-der-vulkaneifel I decided to do a HeimatSpur today. I'd had the Kleelandrunde in mind for a long time, but this route—and I was right in my decision—is definitely a late spring route. And let me just say this: Clover is present along the entire route. It also thrives on the meadow paths, along the roadsides, and in the enchanting wildflower meadows. The name "Kleelandrunde" is well-deserved. The tour follows slow-paced trails and is pleasant to walk. It runs almost exclusively through open fields, with a few sections leading through the forest. This is partly due to the fact that many pine forests are disappearing, and new growth is currently transforming formerly wooded, shady paths into open, sunny paths. But either way, there's plenty of fields with fantastic views and beautiful landscapes. Blooming wildflower meadows bursting with color accompany me almost the entire way. Numerous herds of cows stand in these dreamy meadows, curiously watching every hiker. Plus, two small chapels along the path. What more could I want? The route is entertaining, and all too soon, I'm back in front of my car. Conclusion: A very beautiful hike, which, now in spring, scores points with its variety of flowers, panoramic views, and attentive cows. Meadow paths, forest paths, field gravel paths, and some asphalt. Highly recommended and also easy to cycle.
Although cold, but perfect spring start weather..... . My 4th & last of the 4 hiking tours from Sarmersbach. For the clover I should have gone later in the year..... If you have done Afelskreuz & Alte Eiche, and maybe even the Lieserpfad, this round, like the Struthrundweg, is a nice addition....
Mother's Day round in peace 😊 I went the Kleeland circuit from Sarmersbach for the second time today, it has so little that is spectacular, but so much peace and pure nature https://www.komoot.de/tour/358471835?ref=aso The dilapidated wooden bridge over the Lieser near Nerdlen has now been renewed and looks much more robust than its predecessor. I wish all mothers a happy Mother's Day, so that you are valued and appreciated not only today, but every day, just as we mothers deserve 😍
The Kleeland circuit is a 12 km circular trail from the hiking guide "HeimatSpuren" hiking in the Vulkaneifel. The official start is in Sarmersbach, but since it is a circular route, you can start anywhere. The circular route is very well signposted, always follow the 🍀. It's mainly over field, forest and meadow paths but also over asphalted sections. The crossings over the Lieser were all remade because the flood in summer 2021 also left its mark here. There are plenty of opportunities to take breaks along the route, many benches or forest sofas invite you to do so. Sturdy shoes and something to drink would be an advantage. Have fun with the Kleeland circuit 🍀👍
