Trail Reviews

MÄXI´S GENUSSTOUREN 🇦🇹
October 8, 2022, Bad Kleinkirchheim Maibrunnbahn Feld am See Familytour

Great comfortable e-bike tour with the dear family directly from the Hotel Trattlerhof to the Maibrunnbahn mountain station and via the Feldspannalm to Feld am See and back to the Trattlerhof. Everything is easy to ride, even for beginners (on an e-bike) only the first 200m down from the mountain station you have to take the trail towards Feld am See. I would recommend that beginners push the bike here. And for beginners and only slightly advanced, the Trail T1 Alter Almweg is not really recommended, it is really rocky and rooty and is only really fun for experts. I tried a section here in between, but that wasn't really fun with the much too small rental bike. Unfortunately we didn't find the Trail T20, it was supposed to be a comfortable flow trail that I wanted to try but unfortunately missed. And the planned stop at the Feldspannalm in the Ledererhütte unfortunately didn't materialize either, because it was only open until October 2nd, 2022. Because there wasn't really a good place to stop in Feld am See either, this time we only stopped in after our round and this time, for once, we didn't document it, even if it would have been difficult to recommend. CONCLUSION: Brilliant autumn day well spent with loved ones and that's it, nothing happened. Thank you for the great day!!!! ..

Great tour, the Alte Almweg requires some skill, and the AE is secured, 2.5kg of chanterelles

Route not marked - GPS track absolutely necessary. Wide, easy forest roads, but despite the official route guidance (map of the Bad Kleinkirchheim tourist information center), driving bans have been imposed! Ignoring this (like all the others) up to the Maibrunnhütte. Here you can decide whether you want to continue on the forest road or on the beautiful, flowing natural trail. We opt for the trail variant and enjoy the descent very much. Be careful not to miss the turnoff back to the starting point shortly before Bad Kleinkirchheim!

Was a nice final tour before the journey home, brought everyone back home safely before the weather changed

After yesterday's technical training at the E-Motions event at Lake Millstatt, today we had the "big" encore. The Flow Trail near Bad Kleinkirchheim. At least part of it. Since we drove up directly from our accommodation in Feld am See, we only entered the trail in the second section. A mega casual experience! The ascent before that was easy. On forest roads we went to the area of Klamerhütte, Riesenhütte and Wegerhütte and finally to the mountain station of the Maibrunnbahn (only in winter). There we started the Flow Trail to Bad Kleinkirchheim, where the deserved cappuccino was waiting for us. We went back via a hiking trail (a short stretch narrow) to Obertweng and back to Feld am See. There is an impressive mountain bike and trail concept in the region. Many paths can be used by mountain bikers here, which should be a real El Dorado for trail fans! For example, there are two more downhill trails near our driveway: the "Alten Almweg" (S2-S3) and the somewhat easier Bachtrail (S1-S2). Last holiday tour from Bad Kleinkirchheim. Follow the NockBike Tour 11 along the water, then after a short climb, a quick descent to Feld am See. Through the town center to the lake and once around the Brennsee in a clockwise direction. From here it was almost exactly 1000 meters up, with a great view of the lake. Via the Feldpannalm then steeply up to the mountain station of the Maibrunnbahn. Actually, it should go from here to the start of the flow trail at the Kaiserburgbahn. But the view of the stretch to the straw bag made it rather spoiled for a burger with a cool soda and a subsequent flow trail descent back to the starting point.

Very nice round. First a quick 1000 m up the forest path, then a steep section on the ski slope. Also had to push the e-bike for a short time. The Kaiserburg mountain station was really great. Nice decor and good food. The Flow Country Trail is really great. It was nice to drive even in the rain. It is the longest flow trail in Europe at 15 km.
