Lion Paths 8/16 --> Check ✔️ Halftime at the Lion Paths... 🙂 After I saw the incredibly great pictures of the Orchid Path yesterday at @Heike 📷🦋🥾🪻, I thought about whether I should do that too. I had already walked the Lion Path, but the Wasserberg loop, which runs parallel in parts, was still missing, so I decided to do that. And I can assure you, there were lots of beautiful flowers to admire on this loop too, I brought plenty of photos to prove it 🤭 Nature had dressed up especially and had a fresh shower 💧😁 The paths are very muddy at the moment, it's hard to get up the mountains because you keep slipping back, I looked bad afterwards too, covered in mud up to my thighs 😳 Otherwise the paths were as wonderful as usual, I really enjoyed the panoramic paths in particular. A slowworm crossed my path again, the one next to it is a huge earthworm. Unfortunately, I brought an uninvited guest with me again. The tick was immediately removed and cremated at home 🔥
From the parking lot at Hexensattel, the trail leads through a beautiful juniper heath and across dry meadows up to Haarberg, offering a magnificent view of the valley. Primroses and numerous pasque flowers are currently in bloom. In late spring and early summer, many different orchid species can be found here. The trail continues through the forest, then descends and through Unterböhringen to the other side of the valley. Along more juniper heaths, the trail continues to Hausen an der Fils. After passing through the village, the trail climbs steeply again and returns to the starting point along an interesting, narrow forest path.
The Lion Trail "Wasserbergrunde" near Unterböhringen and Hausen is rich in history and offers great views. Impressive views can be found again and again on the challenging circular tour. Nature lovers will particularly enjoy the Wasserberg-Haarberg nature reserve, where they can marvel at rare plant species.

I got a little taste of the Allgäu region today, it was really lovely – the sun was shining and so was Steffi. 🤣😅💚☀️
Today we met @Daniela E. and @Wilfried E. at the Hexensattel hiking car park for a hike together. The Wasserberg circuit was run in the hope of seeing one or the other orchid. We were not disappointed. Daniela and Wilfried have knowledge of botany which came in handy for us. We had nice conversations and the time passed quickly and we were back at the parking lot. We hope that wasn't the last tour together with you. It was a nice relaxed day. Greetings Uwe and Annett 🤗🙋🏼♂️💁
This morning by train to Geislingen a. d. Get off, then take the bus to Hausen an der Fils. We walked the “Wasserberg Runde” lion path. A beautiful path led through the juniper heath below the Weigoldsberg with beautiful views of Reichenbach in the valley. Further up to the Haarberg/Wasserberg with a great view, then to the old and new Wetteich and down to Unterböhringen. With beautiful views of Unterböhringen and the Hausener Wand we went back to the starting point.
Went the Wasserbergrunde today with @Annett and Uwe 🥾 a rather simple lap but with such nice company it was very entertaining and beautiful ☺️ we were rewarded with lots of orchids in the most glorious sunshine. We left early and there were hardly any people around, when we came back the parking lot was packed, but we hardly had any encounters ☺️ It was really nice with the two and will be repeated ☺️👍🏻🙋♀️🙋🏼
