Lac Castor is one of the peaceful pockets of water tucked into Rocanigan Valley’s forest. The surrounding trails make it easy to trade busy surroundings for trees, reflections, and the sounds of the woods, with plenty of wildlife living throughout the valley. It's a great spot to slow the boots and sharpen the senses.

Reaching Lac Giguère means winding through the forest before descending toward a rocky viewpoint above the water. It’s a particularly satisfying place to stop, with the lake opening suddenly between the trees and the wilder terrain of Rocanigan Valley continuing beyond. Snack breaks have rarely had a better backdrop.
