This route was planned by komoot.
In the high temperatures (almost 35°C in Maulburg) it was necessary to keep a distance from the crows that were snapping at the side of the road with their beaks open for cooling - "stay there, save your energy!" Actually, the departure from Kirchhausen should have been due again, but I wanted to enjoy the full "flight" from Endenburg.
During today's lunch break I had to take advantage of the wonderful summer weather for a slightly longer tour. The descents (first Endenburg - Scheideck, then Scheideck - Schlächtenhaus) were once again absolutely fantastic — I'm sticking with my rating ( https://www.komoot.de/tour/757455696 ).
From Endenburg to the end of the fantastic descent there was a plant-chastic summer rain... The rest of the route was on more or less rain-soaked roads, the shoes successfully filled with reserve coolant... I didn't want to subject my phone to a shower, so I just took a photo from the dry. It was wonderful. ☀️🌧️🌧️🌧🤷🏼♂️🚴♀️☁️ ☁️ 😂😎😎😎
Today I made the most of the break and ended up on a wonderful route again: On the one hand the wonderful descent from Endenburg to Scheideck, as well as Scheideck - Schlachtenhaus. It's a bit unusual not to continue to Kandern - but the time window didn't allow it.
Today the head was allowed to keep the legs in check, so that this round could serve the purpose of simply moving the legs a bit after yesterday. Up to Scheideck and to Endenburg, on the one hand quite chilled and on the other hand mostly in the shade, this was just as enjoyable as the wonderful descent to Hof, also in the shade. The foothills of the Black Forest are also simply beautiful. Big grin event 😁, a little shorter than yesterday.
The classic from Lörrach, easy to drive and with a stop at the Hirschen ... after refreshments we go up to Endenburg; we used to do the tour the other way around - try it this way: shade on the ascent and the glorious autumn sun on the descent; In addition, the descent from Endenburg has the ideal incline and you can drive through to Schlachtenhaus without braking. If you want something more, you can also use the little road in Wieslet to Eichholz and the Sallneck.
