Is the source of the Danube on the edge of the Donaueschingen palace park really the beginning of Europe's second longest river? What about the Danube spring, which bubbles up in the artfully enclosed spring pot at the Princely Fürstenberg Castle? On this beautiful little loop in the palace park, you will experience both places up close. And much more.

In the heart of the city, you will walk in the footsteps of the princes in the Donaueschingen palace park and immerse yourself in their past. Discover the impressive park architecture, the lovingly designed details, and the old trees. The starting point is the Josefstraße bus stop. Along the way, you will walk past the Orangery, the town church of St. Johann, and the palace – the highlight is, of course, the Danube spring. In good weather, you can strengthen yourself in the Fürstenberg beer garden.
