From Cunnersdorfer Straße we turn onto Alte Rosenthaler Straße and follow the marking "yellow line". After we have left the houses behind us, the road turns into a field path and later into a forest path. The last few meters on the pointed stone we climb steep steps up to finally reach the 410m high

Trail Reviews

Today we went through the forests on a section of the forest path via Spitzstein, Lambertsstein and Katzfels, but the viewing platforms were quite crowded. We also took a break directly at the Spitzstein bivouac. Memories came back and I felt like doing the second part with @Fnny|n|dr|frschn|Lft :) It wasn't until Katzfels that we actually had some peace and quiet because most of us were already on the way home. All in all, a worthwhile, beautiful route with rocks that I have never visited before. The visibility was a bit hazy today but still impressive ⛰️

With morning fog through lonely green forests, the forest path is moss-soft and the sun's rays peek through the dense forest. What more do you want. Maybe a few more prospects. You get it too. The view on the Lampertsstein is great - from here you can see the Königstein, Lilienstein, Pfaffenstein, Gohrisch, Papststein, Falkenstein, Schrammsteine and up to the Großer Winterberg. But as always, the other highlights are in no way inferior. Everything on this tour, recommended by the Saxon Switzerland National Park: https://www.komoot.de/tour/322010942

After the big storm and due to the current bark beetle situation in the nature conservation park, it was a bit confusing and weathered, but mostly good to very good to walk on and definitely worth seeing.

A leisurely hike with friends over Katzstein to Lampertstein, ending in a relaxed atmosphere at the Katzsteinbaude. In the afternoon sun with a spritzer or beer on the benches in front of the Katzsteinbaude - what more could you need.

On Saturday we finally went to Saxon Switzerland again, this time also with company. The first challenge on this tour was finding a parking space. Pretty hopeless in Cunnersdorf. All parking spaces that gave the impression that they could be used legally or semi-legally for the public were of course occupied and the free parking spaces were owned. So we parked a bit outside and the originally planned route was modified. After that was done, we went in the direction of the Spitzstein. The ascent was initially quite steep and led through a lot of mud, what a déjà vu on my last visit to Saxon Switzerland. Anyway, the weather seems to find it very funny to let off some rain before I approach. Thanks to Gore-Tex, the shoes were muddy but the feet were dry, So after we had fought our way up the mountain and thanks to the warm, humid air were sweating properly (luckily mosquito-free zone), we went on a fairly flat stretch to the Spitzstein, where and on which the heather shows its last blossoms. So we climbed the stairs and were rewarded with sunshine and a wonderful view that allowed us to look far into the country. Königstein Fortress beamed towards us. With this exposed location at a height of 240 m, it is no wonder that the first people lived in the Bronze Age around 1100 BC. Settled there. Later expanded into one of the largest mountain fortresses in Europe, the fortress is also quite impressive from a distance, with Königstein being used as just about everything under the Saxon princes. In times of war as a safe place, in times of peace as a hunting and pleasure palace or as a notorious state prison, there was something for everyone on the 9.5 hectare area. Only militarily did their importance turn out to be somewhat insignificant. After we were able to tear ourselves away from the impressive view, we went back down the stairs and on to the Lampertsstein. There was another whole end down the mountain and past a small pond. On the way it was sarcastically noticed that whatever we would run down now, we would have to go up again immediately. You guessed it: D Before we could climb the Lampertstein, however, we meandered along impressive rock formations on one side and a fine view on the other. When we arrived at the stone, we went up some stairs again, although the wooden ones might need a little overhaul, the railing no longer made a very trustworthy impression. If the view from the Spitzstein was impressive, it was even more so from the Lampertsstein. So we decided to fill our growling stomachs here. A cheeky little great spotted woodpecker came by and looked at what we were doing. But found us boring and preferred to move on. So after we were fed and watered, we continued on the ridge path and back down the mountain. A short time later we were allowed to climb again towards Katzenfels. A small section led us across a street, which was unfortunately not so nice. However, we were soon able to turn back into the forest and everything we had thought steep on the tour until then, pulverized. The climb was really mean, towards the end of the tour, but really worth it. Because from the Katzenstein you had a great view after climbing a very long staircase again. Unfortunately the sun had disappeared behind the clouds. On our descent back to the starting point, we passed the Mäuseborn and the Mouse. There is a little story to read about it at the Mäuseborn. After fighting our way through the mud again with dry feet on the descent, we arrived exhausted but happy at the starting point. Conclusion: a nice lap, with really great views. However, if you are looking for more of the impressive rock formations, you are unfortunately wrong here. Next time I would do the lap a little differently so that we don't have to walk the same route so often. All in all, it's not a bad lap.

Today on Easter Sunday morning, my people were still sleeping soundly, I had planned the peaks in the center of the Bielatal-Rosenthal-Cunnersdorf triangle and planned a nice tour. At 7:05 a.m. I parked the car in Bielatal 🅿️ Hölllochweg, because I knew what was going to happen again today with the air snappers 😅, good decision as it should be on the way back at Lampertstein. So it was steeply uphill along the Hölllochweg towards Kohlberg. At the top of the signpost, take a short breather and start recording the tour. We went on, I hadn't actually planned the Kohlberg, but I went there for a quick look, it was OK, the view of Bielatal was a bit overgrown. Then we continued towards Katzstein. A bit down the middle path and then the wing M hiked to the Neuteich where I took a little break in the morning sun. Then we went up a forest path to the root path, which led me to the Pechlochweg on the Katzstein. The attraction of the Katzstein or Katzfels is of course the stone 🐱 The more impressive panorama, however, offers the signal at the top of the Katzstein. I would like to recommend this to you as an absolute must. After descending from the signal, I followed the Spitzsteinweg in the direction of Müllerstein, over which there is no direct marked hiking trail. That's why he aroused interest when planning my tour, I thought something would work and my desire to discover was awakened. And actually discovered a Boofe, 2 great views and a free-standing climbing rock while exploring the Kammweg (see Highlights). Then made a short detour to the nearby Spitzberg and started the way back past the Spitzstein bivouac via the loading path to the Lampertstein. Of course it was at the Lampertstein, around 12:30, with the calm over 😵‍💫. So I quickly put the view behind me and left the Lampertstein towards my destination via the promenade (quiet again). Was a strenuous but very interesting tour worth seeing.

Highly recommended tour over various small rocks with beautiful views. I was particularly impressed by the signal view.

The plan to go on a quiet hike in Saxon Switzerland at Easter worked out quite well with this round.
