This is the third time we have walked this route and it is always beautiful. You can also buy honey along the way in Katzenbachtal. The Wolfsschlucht is wildly romantic and always an adventure. The Römerquelle hasn't been running for a few years, but the company has installed a drinks vending machine there.
Great varied hike. For me absolutely recommendable.
...you have to go through 7 valleys... No, not quite - today we went from the Kurhaus car park in Bad Niedernau for a short tour through beautiful landscapes. First a little uphill you come to the Römerquelle, the water of which is no longer flowing at the moment and has been turned off - a pity! Would certainly have been refreshing. So we went straight on through the Wolfsschlucht, which was a bit difficult to walk due to the last few rainy days and storms. Alternatively, you can also walk around and then arrive directly in the Katzenbachtal. Here the Katzenbach ripples, fresh meadows and today's blue sky conjure up an idyllic picture. Here you also pass the Seven Valleys Cave, which I would never enter on my own. Further past the Hasengrund you go back again. Via the Schlößlesfels at the Burgstall Ehingen you come back to the car through the Kurpark. Short great round!
Very nice hike with many little highlights.🤗
Nice little walk not far to drive to get fit 😁👍🏻 Really nice and worthwhile, lots of paths 🤩 Going through the Wolfschlucht was a bit adventurous🙈 some giants fell and it was time to climb 😁 Such a shame, I'm excited to see if the paths will be restored 🤷♀️ The former nurses' home is currently being used by refugees from Ukraine. 👍🏻 In the chapel there are letters from former refugees from World War II who found shelter there. It's not really inhabited, but it's kept in good condition, the owner is the Catholic church. It's a shame that it's not being used, just preserved. The Kneipp pool alone is a tragedy 😁 A round that is really worth walking, the other way round would be easier at the moment through the Wolfsschlucht ☺️👍🏻🙋♀️🙋🏼
Nice herb hike with my girlfriend along the premium trail “Seven valleys round” with lots of berries (sloes and hawthorn), collecting, smelling and tasting herbs (wild fennel, coriander and dill) and lots of fun. 🌻 The path through the Wolfsschlucht leads over roots and stone steps to the source of the "Römerquelle". Unfortunately the health clinic in Bad Niedernau is empty. The beautiful spa park is almost empty and the spring house at the Roman spring is closed. My absolute highlight was a whole field of balsam - my favorite plant🌸🌸
This morning I chose this hike. It was worth it. On a sunny Sunday with a temperature difference of -0.5°C in the morning and 22°C on the way back. Now and then we met other hikers and cyclists. Were there really seven valleys? I don't know. I didn't really count.
