Escarpment Rail Trail

The Escarpment Rail Trail is a scenic path that follows an old rail corridor up the Hamilton Escarpment. It offers wide views across the city and Lake Ontario, especially near the Kenilworth access. You’ll pass lookouts, old rail markers, and shaded sections as you climb toward the top of the escarpment. It’s a multi-use path, so you might share it with bicycles, and you can combine it with the Bruce Trail to make a loop.

Corktown Park is a small 4-hectare urban park nestled in the historic Corktown neighbourhood of Hamilton. The park has a public toilet, recreational facilities and a rich railway history. This park's land once belonged to the Toronto, Hamilton and Buffalo (TH&B) Railway, operating as a bustling rail yard for nearly a century before shutting down in 1988.

Stone Cooperage

The Stone Cooperage building houses Invizij Architects Inc. today, but in 1882 it served as a manufacturing facility for barrels, casks, and wooden storage containers (cooperage). It has been used for heavy and light industrial operations over the span of 90 years, and today the historic building is preserved and used as a business.
