Hiking
Almost five kilometers, where the "Ammerbucher Gigeleswegle" keeps what it promises. "Gigele" comes from the Swabian language and means "to look" or "to keep an eye out". So you can be sure that there will be no shortage of beautiful viewpoints along the way.
It starts at Breitenholz, from where you hike straight into the idyllic Käsbachtal. The eponymous stream accompanies you as you walk through the idyllic landscape. Shortly before Entringen you finally cross it and begin to climb up into the extensive meadow orchards of the Schönbuchhang.
It doesn’t matter what time of year you are out and about – meadow orchards are always a special experience. In summer they are a vibrant green, in spring they are adorned with beautiful blossoms and in autumn the colorful sea of leaves and ripe fruit will amaze you . A few wonderful vantage points await you up here. No wonder, then, that this slope was declared a nature reserve in 2000. So take enough time to enjoy the peace and quiet. Then you walk back to your starting point.
