Mössinger Lentil path – Fruit Trail

Ready for a spectacle that can only be experienced in this form in Mössingen? On this easy pleasure tour, wide fields and meadows as well as so-called "common parts" await you. These are meadow orchard parcels that have arisen from historical management and are leased to citizens and are a real specialty for this area. Otherwise it will be anything but boring on the way.

But let's start at the "Linden" car park. From here you march along promising paths in the direction of the NABU bird protection center, where injured birds are cared for, visitors are advised, confiscated birds are admitted and research for bird protection and environmental education is carried out. Past the "Laisenbühl" vantage point, peacefully grazing Limousin cows and through a beautiful landscape, you then complete the almost five-kilometer round in peace and quiet. Finally, there is a visit to the orchard experience center in the Pausa district.

Incidentally, the Leisawegle owes its name to the cultivation of lentils (in Swabian "Lensa" or "Leisa"), which took place in the area west of the brickworks for a long time. You won't find any more legumes on the lentil heap today, but you can enjoy an all the more beautiful view of the Farrenberg and over the Steinlachtal.
