LandStreifer Oer-Erkenschwick "Haard an der Grenze"

We started our short vacation with this LandStreifer - 2 days in the Hohe Mark Nature Park. A beautiful, unspectacular forest tour. Mostly on natural paths, but in between someone has also tipped gravel onto the path - it looks like it was drawn with a ruler (picture 16+17) ... you don't even need it 😒. On a beautiful sunny day, my next LandStreifer went right through the Haard. I've already walked parts of the route, but not the original LandStreifer "Haard an der Grenze". But I got some great new impressions along the way and captured some of them in photos. I liked it and would love to do it again sometime.

The next Landstreifer. I've been in this area many times, but it's always different and beautiful there. The signage with the purple Landstreifer signs is complete, the tour is short but offers a lot of forest floor under your soles.🚶‍♂️🚶‍♀️🌞⚒️

With this fantastic weather, we're off on another country stroll today to enjoy the beautiful landscape between the Ruhr area and Münsterland. Sometimes with leaves, sometimes with pine needles underfoot – sometimes on narrow, root-strewn paths, sometimes on wide, roughly gravelled tracks – we make our way through endless, beautiful, light-filled forests. In the Brinksknapp nature reserve, we particularly enjoy the idyllic lake, its thin ice reflecting the sun so beautifully. The last 4 km or so, straight ahead on the wide Haard border trail, aren't quite as foot-friendly. But the lovely views across the expansive clearings and the wood carvings along the way more than make up for it. This is our 5th country stroll 🤩 – certainly not the last! Have a wonderful Sunday!

On election Sunday, I chose the Haard. As expected, it was full, but away from the main paths it was also nice and quiet. It was wonderful to be able to walk without a jacket again.

After a long absence, it was finally time for a delicious waffle at Mother Wehner's again. So we set off and hiked the Haard country trail along the border. Everything went perfectly; it was a peaceful and beautiful hike. As always in the Haard. And to top it all off, the waffle at Mother Wehner's – absolutely perfect! 🥾🥾⚒️

Today we met up for a group hike through the Haard region🤗🐾👣. The weather forecast was much worse, but we were lucky and made it through the "Landreifer - Haard an der Grenze" relatively dry. This tour is a well-marked circular trail that begins at the "Mutter Wehner" restaurant at a large hiking parking lot. 👍🏻 Of course, there was ☕🧇😋 at the end....
