The creation of the Hemlock Grove Boardwalk Trail dates back to Rick Hansen and his two-year, 40,000-kilometer journey through 34 countries - the Man in Motion World Tour. He was traveling in his wheelchair to support the search for a cure for spinal cord injuries.
