Sjøholt naturreservat rises beneath Liafjellet on the north shore of Storfjorden, a protected noble deciduous-woodland slope established in 2003 as one of Norway’s 31 such reserves. From bare mountain down through scree slopes and into a mosaic of deciduous forest, this quiet landscape is slowly being reclaimed by trees again.
