Fitness tour of the Växjöraner, on foot, by wheelchair, with a stroller, walker... They like to walk and very quickly 😀 Nice to look at the sculptures and works of art on the edge of the lakes and the castle.
Beautiful stroller-friendly circular hiking trail with a detour to the Smaland Museum
Nice tour around the lakes, which I did in February last year. They lie south of Domkyrka, whose two long towers can be seen from afar. It contains i.a. the beautiful altar shrine by Bertil Vallien, called "Fiat Lux", the path from darkness into light and the tree of life by Erik Höglund and Lars Larsson. Växjö is a lovely little town with a university whose namesake, the famous Swedish botanist, doctor and zoologist Carl von Linné (Carl Linnaeus), has had a significant impact on the town's reputation. Teleborg Castle now houses a hotel and a restaurant... Very romantic!! Also worth seeing are the pretty flower beds in Linnépark and the art objects along the lakes, whose banks are natural but well-kept.
