Around the Wörthersee by bike

You start at the bus station in Velden am Wörthersee and initially cycle along the northern shore. Passing through Pörtschach and Krumpendorf, you'll mostly ride close to the water until you reach the lido on the eastern shore of the lake. Along the way, you'll enjoy stunning views of the lake, and there are plenty of rest areas right on the shore for a break.

At the eastern end of the lake, you'll follow the idyllic Lend Canal for a while before leaving Lake Wörthersee behind and turning into the Keutschach Valley. Here, it's considerably quieter than on the lively main lake, and you'll encounter more lakes. First, you'll reach the Trimischer Teich, then the Rauschelesee, and finally the Keutschacher See, which gives the valley its name.

From here, it's not far back to your starting point in Velden, where you can end your tour. Around Gemonaplatz, for example, you'll find plenty of restaurants and cafés to satisfy your hunger and thirst.
