June 13, 2025, Yosemite NP: Sentinel Dome und Glacier Point

On our last day in Yosemite, we set off early in the morning with our camper to Glacier Point. I first hike to Sentinel Dome. From here, I enjoy the magnificent views over Yosemite Valley and gaze at the waterfalls I hiked to the previous days. After descending, I visit the viewpoint at Glacier Point. The vertical cliff edge creates a particularly attractive view: the valley floor with the Merced River far below, and the cliff face on the other side, almost within reach. @Mosmas only visits the viewpoint today [https://www.komoot.com/de-de/tour/2322255201] USA 2025: https://www.komoot.com/de-de/collection/3534240

An easy hike. Also very suitable for children. It's a long drive, almost an hour from the West Entrance. However, you get magnificent views of the park, Half Dome, Yosemite Falls, and El Capitan. Parking is limited. I recommend going around midday in midsummer (we were there in August 2025).
