Arches of the Hell Gate Bridge

Highlight โ€ข Bridge

I recommend access via the small lift bridge from the Bronx (see photo). Then turn right and you can drive around the island and leave it on the Greenway towards the Bronx at the northern tip. But before that you will meet many anglers at the southern tip. I was lucky enough to get into conversation with two people who had just caught a fish about 50 cm long. It was good to hear what they think about their rivers and their cleanliness. Just go straight then and end up under the bridge. By the way, the whole island consists of sports facilities. and also many other athletes. That's simply because it is. Very few houses and a lot of park. This path under the bridge has an unusual panorama. Just see for yourself and a little on the photos. In the Bronx you should be careful because it is an industrial area and the traffic is a bit rough. Just follow the Bike Path signs. That's OK.
