Øvre Birtedalen is the nearest village, about three kilometres east of you. There are many holiday homes there, as well as the nearest paved road. Taxis can be ordered from Fyredalen to take you there.

In addition to a kitchen, you will find a grocery store, books and a canoe with life jackets. There is no mobile phone reception at the hut itself, but there is reception 200 metres west on the hill of Bjørnnuten.
