This short loop, free of singletrack, is perfect for gravel riding. Besides beautiful, flowing forest trails, the route offers a journey through the region's history. Marked by military fortifications and memorials, it bears the weight of the First World War.

The first notable site you'll encounter is the Froideterre fortification, located just one kilometer from the start. Then comes the Verdun Memorial, undeniably the highlight of the route. The exploration continues to the Douaumont Ossuary and Fort, not forgetting the numerous war memorials along the way.

Shortly before the end of the loop, you'll pass near the Verdun Memorial again. If you wish to visit it, take the opportunity to do so before returning to the starting point.
