Hiking
Sweeping views, bizarre rock formations, and a lively town await you on the Ernst-Schlösser-Weg trail. Look forward to a wonderful blend of nature, culture, and history.
You start in Ebermannstadt at the waterwheel and first stroll through the historic Scheuenviertel district and the town park. There, you'll find a Kneipp pool, perfect for a refreshing dip. Then, a forest path leads you gently up to the plateau.
Passing the impressive natural monument Kachelstein, a striking mushroom-shaped rock formation, you'll reach the village of Wohlmuthshüll. Finally, the trail leads to the Schlüsselstein castle ruins, a former castle site with a summit cross. Comfortable benches with magnificent views of the Wiesent Valley prepare you for the steep descent back to Ebermannstadt. Relax and unwind on the Chantonnay Promenade to bring your hike to a pleasant close.
