The Tschirgantrunde is a technically less demanding, but distance very long round trip. The tour follows beautifully developed and well-paved cycling and driving paths and is relatively easy to cope with appropriate fitness. The Tschirgantrunde is a technically undemanding, but extensive, circular route that follows well-groomed, well-paved cycle paths and roads for long distances. The only notable climb is from Mötz to the Grünberglift. A circuit where you can discover the Inntal cycle path between Zams and Mötz, but also enjoy the beauty of the Gurgltal. A relatively easy visit to master if you are in good shape. Sights: Roman traces on Via Claudia between Zams and Schönwies, Römerbadl, Knappenwelt. Entry points: Imst, Roppen, Haiming, Silz, Mieming, Nasserreith, Tarrenz, Barwies, Obsteig
If you are a biobiker with e-bikers, then it gets sporty - for the biobiker. 🥵🤣 Very nice tour around the Tschirgant with a final stop at Crazy Eddy before going back up to the Mieminger Plateau. 🏞️🚴🏻🚴🏻🚴🏻
Nice spring route with several different options.
First Tschirgant round this year, the classic. Today we went right, so first on the Mieminger Plateau up to Arzkasten. From there we went down to the "Adlerhorst" viewing platform above Nassereith. Opposite there were a few climbers hanging on the climbing wall, I got dizzy just watching them, but the nut roll tasted good anyway. Then at a great speed through the Gurgltal, almost always in the forest. At Imst I took a detour up to Karrösten so I could ride down a trail. In the Inntal the wind was blowing from the wrong direction, from the east. Towards the end I realized that I had underestimated the round again. 😨 And then you have to go back up to the plateau from Mötz. Luckily not on the main road, only a surprising number of racing cyclists do that. But why? Although there is a quiet asphalt path through the forest next door. 🤔
First Tschirgant tour of the year, with a small detour via the Adlerhorst viewing platform above Nassereith. There, I met a climber who started climbing because of his fear of heights. Interesting... 🤔 Then, I roared through the Gurgltal. In the Inntal, it felt like it was going uphill, with a headwind. 🌬️🤬
Always a good choice, around the Tschirgant, today with great weather to the right. So only up after Hochleiten, most of it is already done, then you practically fall down into the Gurgltal and it's almost only downhill. First through the sunny middle of the valley, then from Imst through the Inn Valley. If only you didn't have to go back up to the Mieminger Plateau in Mötz.
Very nice relaxed round tour from Nassereith. Splendid. A stop at Gasthof Arzkasten is a must!
Extremely scenic tour from the Mieminger Plateau to the Gurgltal and back through the Inn Valley. At the beginning moderately upwards, then long and long downwards, with many mini climbs, the final ascent back up to the Mieminger Plateau then breaks the cut. 😉 Anyway, I took my time anyway, the area is too beautiful to just power through. I didn't know the Gurgltal at all before, a couple of longer tours there are probably worthwhile, it's on the to-do list. The following section behind Imst is spectacular, where the Inn is pressed through a narrow valley. There were many rafting tours on the way. Must be quite a fun.
