Valhalla Provincial Park

Highlight • Natural

Hidden in the Selkirk Mountains of southeastern British Columbia, Valhalla Provincial Park is a dramatic wilderness playground for hikers, climbers, and back-country adventurers. The park stretches along valley floors and up to rugged ridgelines, offering glacier-fed lakes, steep peaks, and spacious alpine meadows. The limited road access and minimal infrastructure, means the trails really reward those ready to earn their views.

Gimli Peak

Highlight • Summit

Towering at 2,806 metres in the heart of the Valhalla Range, Gimli Peak is a dramatic granite spire known for its steep, climb-worthy fin and striking profile. Approachable via the Mulvey Basin Trail, the peak offers jaw-dropping vistas and serious scrambling (or full rock-climbing routes) depending on how far you go. The way up is steep no matter how you approach it, however, the final push to the summit is a serious scramble/climb and should only be attempted by experienced and well equipped visitors. That being said, the ridgeline below the peak is worth the hike on its own and still offers amazing views.
