Dome Hiking Trail

Dome Hiking Trail is not open to bikers and has a straighter, steeper approach to the top of Midnight Dome. This route is super scenic and well-maintained, but after rain or snow, it can be slippery.

Midnight Dome is an earthen mound, which Dome Road and hiking trails lead up to. Dome Road has nice views and circles the mound, but climb to the top, where picnic benches offer 360-degree views with beauty in every direction. There is an AYPH paragliding launch here, and it's an excellent spot to catch some Northern lights.

Moosehide Trail

The Moosehide Trail passes over the Moosehide Slide, or Ëdhä dädhëchą. This was a huge prehistoric landslide, which tells important stories of the Tr'ondëk Hwëch'in's and their relationship with their landscape. Today, the Moosehide Trail passes just below the slide and is a multi-use trail open to both hiking and mountain biking.
