This route was planned by komoot.
Small hike for in between. Finally, if you climb the Rodfeld Tower, you will be rewarded with a great view - in our case with a perfect sunset (which we forgot to photograph out of sheer excitement). Unfortunately, the rest of the tour was rather mediocre - not bad, but not particularly nice either.
I can absolutely recommend the tour, which has a lot of field content, especially for the cooler seasons.
The trail starts at the Fernblick parking lot. The 80 steps of the 18.5-meter-high observation tower are ideal as a starting point or at the end of the hike, offering panoramic views of the Freigericht Basin, the Wetterau region, the Taunus hills, and Ronneburg Castle. The trail begins by descending into the valley along a meadow path, passing the once-imposing Rodfeld oak tree, which fell victim to Cyclone Kyrill in 2007. From the edge of the forest, numerous diverse and expansive views of the surrounding landscape unfold. The path then gently ascends along the edge of Neuses, offering further stunning vistas of the Spessart foothills. Finally, the trail leads back to the starting point through a short stretch of forest. spessart-tourismus.de/detail/id=61eebc557e8c480c6a968a52

With this track I have half 🤗 (as of Oct). Most of the time you walk in / along the field and enjoy a great view. At the end you can eat very well - have already spent a few birthdays here. Tour description: The 6.2 kilometer route begins at the Fernblick car park in the municipality of Freigericht and runs downhill to the old Rodfeldeiche and further into the valley. From the edge of the forest, hikers always have new views of the wonderful landscape of the Vorspessart.
A nice short hike through forest and field, which I really liked in principle 😊. However, the signposts are sometimes very easy to overlook or even no longer exist (?), which gave me a few extra meters...
Part 17 of my motivational task 🌳 It's beautiful - the view from the tower 😊 especially in the most glorious sunshine 🌞 The poppy gives beautiful splashes of color in the lush green and invites you to take pictures 📸 The tour is quiet and pleasant to walk - shortly before the end I somehow lost sight of the signage 🙈, because my lap is shorter than stated in the description 😅 But it doesn't matter - it was nice 🌞😊
Out and about in the sunshine, the tour has too many useless paths
