Kassel Hirschbach Trail with a food break

Autumn is slowly setting in, it's getting fresher, wetter and darker. I took an alternative route for the last 500 meters. The route didn't seem clear to me, because it looked as if the path went through a private garden. There were also no signs.

Great tour with wonderful views. Crisp ascent and descent and quite exhausting at 34 degrees. Tour is well marked throughout. From time to time the marking is not conclusive but just follow the signs. Good paved paths and sticks are an advantage.

Part 13 of my motivational task 🌳 A lap with high potential for wet pant legs and wet socks 🙈😅, because the grass is sometimes waist-high and 💧 In summer it is certainly a pleasantly shady hiking trail - but a little monotonous for me. Quite nice to walk - but not a third time 🌳

Today we went back to Biebergemünd. This time in the district of Kassel. From the town center, it went uphill to below the Alteburgshöhe with a beautiful view of the Biebertal. Then it went through the forest, past the Hirschbach and a small pond, the forest chapel Graue Ruh and Mittlere-Tann-Hütte.Downhill over a forest path, through a ravine back to Kassel

The circular hike begins in the Kassel district of Biebergemünd. The trail initially climbs steeply uphill to just below the Alteburgshöhe hill, where you can enjoy a first stunning view of the Biebertal valley. The path then enters the forest and, accompanied by ever-changing woodland scenery, reaches the Hirschbachtal valley, where a variety of creatures thrive in and around the small pond by the Hirschbach stream. Continuing at the same elevation, the trail leads to the Graue Ruh forest chapel and then to the Mittlere-Tann-Hütte (Middle Tann Hut). From there, the path descends. Unfortunately, it was cloudy this morning, but this trail was still beautiful. You park right next to the ⛪. From there you walk a little through the village, then on meadow paths uphill, downhill and again uphill into the forest. Here you first walk a small trail that doesn't look like a path 🤪 before you come to a wide forest floor path. At some point it will continue on gravel. There are some great views along the way. There is a small chapel in the forest. Shortly before the end, I had to look for the way, as the entrance to the ravine is almost overgrown and can only be discovered on closer inspection. Conclusion: very varied - exactly my taste 👍😊 Tour description: The hiker starts in the center of Biebergemünd-Kassel. The path initially climbs steadily and offers the first great opportunity to look out below the Altebergshöhe into the Biebertal. The hiker continues his way through the forest, in which he comes across varied forest images and the chapel, as well as the wayside shrine "Grau Ruh". Now the path remains at the same and level height and reaches the "Mittlere-Tann-Hütte" at the end of the forest. The route then leads the hiker downhill. Along a mystical forest path and over a ravine, he comes back to the starting point, the center of Kassel.

Beautiful Spessart area in all seasons. It is very easy to hike through beautiful nature with many good forest paths.
