Rode the 3 Kaiserberg tour in imperial weather. Göppingen can really be left out. it is not worth it to struggle through here. Better to start the tour in Eislingen or Süssen. There are numerous parking options in Süßen near the sports facilities and the Naturfreundehaus.
So, off we went to Göppingen 😃 I've been wanting to do the 3 Kaiser Mountains ⛰️ for a long time!!! Stuifen, Rechberg, and Hohenstaufen... in that order. And the view 👀 is only available from Hohenstaufen!! All I can say is, AMAZING 🤩 The pictures speak for themselves, I think 😜
Mostly a very idyllic tour, past the Stauferbergen. The part through Göppingen, Eislingen etc. is not so nice, here we didn't follow the map but rather the bike signs, as these don't lead directly through the city centers. Very idyllic from Donzdorf.
Initially, the route follows the road, which is not so nice. But then you ride on very beautiful cycle paths through meadow orchards, with a view of the Stauferberge. With the exception of the first kilometers, a very nice round.
We started from Donzdorf in the direction of Lauterstein. After we had reached the Reiterleskapelle, the "worst" was already behind us ... 😅😅 Since we are not familiar with the bike paths in this area, we always followed the signs. The tour was wonderful until we stopped for coffee in Göppingen. From there the last few kilometers back to Donzdorf were not so pricking. Through Göppingen and its suburbs ... But otherwise the tour is really recommended.
Thanks to SWR television, we cycled this tour. The super sausage salad and homemade bread from Gasthaus Lamm in Oberwälden were praised. We started the official tour of the 3 Kaiserberge in the Göppingen district in Süßen, cycled quickly through Göppingen towards "Sausage Salad" and did everything right. From Oberwälden you will find quiet side streets, former railway lines that are now cycle paths and even parts of the Way of St. James - always embedded in the hilly landscape. In addition to the view from Hohenstaufen, our absolute highlight was the Reiterleskapelle near Tannweiler. A true gem with a wonderful view. Here are some facts and figures: Hohenstaufen 684m Rehberg 708m Stuifen 757 above sea level
