This ten kilometer long hiking trail leads you from the deep Dornbachtal to the high plateau on the White Stone - similar to the flight of swallows, which soar through the air. You hike on partly narrow paths, over the mystical Wolfsgraben and through the varied forests of the Rhein-Taunus…

Schwälbchen's Flug is one of the Wisper Trails and a very nice spring hike with lots of nice views on paths through the open field - so maybe a bit too much sun in the summer. The path is very well signposted and would have been easy to walk without a hiking navigation system.
10.9 km *** 338 m up / down 3:51 h including / 3:20 h excluding breaks This perfectly marked Wiserpertrail is a small (for us), beautiful loop with a sharp climb before Ramschied (the others are also a bit steep, but not like that). The walk is mainly on wide meadow paths and narrow forest paths - near Ramschied there is also some asphalt. The views around Langschied are really great, before we go down along the Schollen (bach) into the Wolfsgraben, then along the Dornbach, before the already mentioned steep climb towards Ramschied. Once at the top there are great views, then from Ramschied onwards it's rather unspectacular. The part through Ramschied could really have been avoided - and as far as I remember, this didn't exist before (but only as an access route, and the actual lap was just under 10 km long). Not everything gets better. Rest: There are enough benches/rest areas. It's certainly possible to stop in both places, but we don't know about them. Getting there: Car ==> B260 Wiesbaden - Koblenz, turn off to Langenseifen. Shortly behind the Schlehborner Heide bus stop, a little before Langenseifen on the left side is the parking lot (the usual blue Wispertrail flag also flies there). Public transport ==> Either stop at Schlehborner Heide near the parking lot or in Ramschied directly on the route. Buses from Bad Schwalbach with transfer options there to/from Wiesbaden.
...it could be, if humanity hadn't always been able to prevent it. When you sit on a bench under a peace tree on such a wonderful morning, one or two thoughts can arise. If you know the area, you will of course have quickly noticed that I was on the WisperTrail "Schwälbchen's Flug". It's high time to remember this great tour again. 🤩😎 https://wisper-trails.de/wanderwege/11_schwaelbchens-flug/
A really nice circular route with self-service fridge and toilet in Langenseifen. We found the possibility to stop almost 3 km before the end to be of good quality, but expensive. Maybe that was because of the Easter card. In good weather (visibility!) recommended for imitation.
Wisper Trail the second for today. After the whispering, we went on the Schwälbchen's flight, about which the prospectus writes: "Between Limes and Gebück there is a small piece of heaven". We started in Ramschied at the Gasthaus Wispertal and then up to the high plateau on the white stone and with an amazing view to Langensiefen. There past the original refreshment station to the beautiful chapel and the peace tree, which unfortunately has a very current connection. I would have gladly donated another nail if it would help end this senseless and terrible war. Then we went back to Ramschied via the beautiful Wolfsgraben. Conclusion: Conclusion: A nice short trail on mostly beautiful forest roads. But if you are looking for many highlights and sights, this is not the place for you. But with the two Wispertrails we found again: www.bewegunghilft.de
Today it was an unplanned planned hike. It is intentionally written twice. Originally I had chosen the Wisper Trail "The Excessive". Finally at the parking lot in Hausen vdH, which, like all starting points of the Wisper Trails, was immediately recognizable by a large blue flag with the logo, and slipped on my clothes and shoes, I saw the board with the from afar on the short feeder road Trip. But you could see from afar that it was crossed with a red and white ribbon. I still hoped that it was only a short stretch, but then I saw a small piece of information (in DIN A4) next to it asking for your understanding for the closure of the entire path due to wind damage (as other hikers told me later on the way, there was no references to this on the internet). What was the alternative now? Luckily I had my "Wisper Trails" hiking map with me and was relieved to find that there were two "alternative tours" nearby. Since the time was already far advanced, I decided against the "Glaabacher Almauftrieb" with almost 20 km and for "Schwälbchen's Flug" with 11 km length, which was only a few minutes away by car. The flag with the Wisper Trail logo also signaled the parking lot at Langenseifen from afar (the other starting point is in Ramschied). At the beginning there is also the information board with the details and map of the tour. As recommended, I took the clockwise direction. This tour is also provided with markings that cannot be overlooked, maps and GPS devices are useless ballast. Along the way there are always additional signposts showing how far away you are from (your) destination. At the beginning, the path leads around a large fenced-in piece of meadow and already offers the first far-reaching views of Langenseifen and the surrounding area. Soon you will pass the sky bench, which is not a sun lounger, which you see more and more often, but a normal bench with a view. In the further course, the path leads over a wide open area to Langenseifen directly to the refreshment station. There are benches in a small house, a small table, additional wine barrels as tables, a fountain and behind the wooden door of the house a fridge with drinks (for a fee). This place is very inviting for a break and with one look you can easily see what's going on towards the end of the town (not much). Next to the refreshment station is the local folk museum, which I haven't been to though. A large wreath with colorful Easter eggs is currently hanging on the stairway in front of the building. What I would have liked to have looked at from the inside would have been the Friedenskirche, which the path leads past when leaving the village. The large gray beehive can be seen from afar. The Ukrainian flag is currently waving in front of the church, warning of the end of the war. Soon the path out of the sun leads steeply down into the forest, through which you continue to walk down a long stretch. At a curved section, the path is blocked by fallen trees and you have to pass it on the left and over the stream coming from the right. Either you opt for wet feet, or a shaky, not flat piece of wood as a temporary bridge, which was probably put there by other hikers. A simple jump over the creek does not give the area. Once you have overcome this tricky passage, it becomes easy again. Shortly before the road you pass a pasture with Galloway cattle, but they were too far away to take pictures. An information board indicates where and when you can buy their meat (which fortunately the animals present do not know). Immediately afterwards it goes uphill again and you stand in front of a red and white barrier tape, which probably nobody takes seriously. I also ignored it and after a short stretch the path now leads steeply uphill. At the highest point you can enjoy the beautiful view again before you come down again and a little bit through Ramschied, which the path quickly leaves again, rising again. It's a bit uphill through the forest to the parking lot, before you come into the sun again in front of it, which is then visible from afar. While the first part of this Wisper Trail is relatively easy to hike, the second part is quite strenuous for someone who is perhaps not used to it because of the longer uphill stretch. The tour is recommended for the still cool spring, but when nature is a little more advanced, since everything was still bare here in contrast to the mountain road yesterday, or the already cooler autumn, because at 30° in the shade over the wide open areas, is perhaps not so recommendable, despite the refreshment station coming soon. Too bad the Friedenskirche was closed.
Today, this beautiful circular trail was just what I needed. After a long bike ride the day before, I wanted a shorter hike today. Almost 11km sounds quite fitting, so I started this Wisper Trail at the designated starting point – the Schlehborner Heide hiking car park. From there, I walked the route clockwise. The first half of the trail follows well-mown field paths in a wide arc around Langenseifen. There are no difficult climbs here. Instead, there are a few twists and turns that prevent this. In many places, there are expansive views into the Hintertaunus, which is dissected by several deep valleys. In Langenseifen, there is a refreshment station at the local history museum. In addition to a shady table and benches, there is a small refrigerator where various drinks are available for a small price. Not only is this a very nice idea, but the entire surrounding area also invites you to take a short break. Afterwards, a short climb makes things a bit strenuous for the first time. At least when the sun is shining, which means it's already nice and warm. Next, besides the beautiful scenery, is the absolute highlight of the route. The Protestant church in Langenseifen is somewhat reminiscent of a large hornet's nest. An unusual and striking piece of architecture. Right next to it is the Peace Cross. Many cross nails are hammered into a dried tree trunk, with a dove looking down on them. A very nice idea and execution of this theme. A short time later, the second section begins, leading mainly through shady forest. The trail descends along the Schollen stream to the Dornbach stream, which flows into the Wisper. For me personally, the most beautiful section of this Wisper Trail soon follows. A steep trail begins on steps. This path is soon protected by wooden beams to prevent slipping and winds its way up to the heights above Ramschied. The village is then skirted briefly before the final third of Schwälbchen's Flug begins. I then alternated between forest and field up to Langenseifen and the Schlehborn Heath, where the tour returned to the starting point and my beautiful hike ended. Experience report on this beautiful Wisper Trail: As an alternative to the actual "Schlehborner Heide" hiking car park, you can park a few meters further at the cemetery. The trail passes just below (see route). It is recommended to walk clockwise - usually from the highest point of Schlehborner Heide. For this variant that means, first through the forest on beautiful mostly narrow paths, then from the Schlehborner Heide in the second part through fields and meadows - that might seem rather boring, but the views are really great. Not quite to the Atlantic, but the Hunsrück ridge with its wind turbines can be seen very well. The route is perfectly signposted, a "sat nav" is not necessary, really premium :-)

A very nice tour, through meadows as well as the most beautiful beech forest and a romantic meadow valley, a few demanding climbs and then again to enjoy the wonderful view! Also interesting for those who know about plants - both the edges of the meadows and fields but especially in the forest and a
