Like almost all of you, we were outside in the wonderful weather. This time in a previously unknown corner in and around Bad Soden. Nice little town on the edge of the Taunus with original orchards. The old town center is also very beautiful with its winding alleys and well-preserved half-timbered houses. In any case, we were not disappointed. 🙋♂️
After the effort of the previous day, an easy and rather short hike from and around Bad Soden. With the spa park, beautiful villa districts, two churches, Hundertwasserhaus, a few sections between fruit tree slopes and forest as well as the Altenhain valley, there is a lot of variety.
The tour is from the Taunus Info under “see and go”. The marking can be improved in places. Otherwise the tour is something different. From the spa park through villa areas, through fields and forests, natural monuments and brick ones. Very varied, lots of asphalt due to the nature of the tour. Easy to walk, steps in between, otherwise no demands. Certainly a great tour in spring, we passed many fruit trees 🍒🍑🍏🍐🍓.
A tour from the hiking guide "Hiking in the Taunus" https://www.taunus.info/tour/gehen-und-sehen We moved the starting point to the Kahlbachhalle in Altenhain and slightly altered the route in Bad Soden to pass the many fountains and springs. The weather was great today. A few clouds, but also plenty of sunshine at 25°C.
A leisurely walk through Bad Soden, Neuenhain and Altenhain with sparkling wine 🥂 Break at the CarpeDiem-Bank in Altenhainer Tal and stop at the rustic Eberhards Scheuer... ...to get hungry for a cozy dinner! We were really lucky with the weather and had a good time anyway 🥰 Always nice: Altenhainer Tal, Hundertwasserhaus, Quellenpark and Kurpark. 💚💚💚
On Sunday afternoon, we spontaneously decided to visit Bad Soden am Taunus. We particularly wanted to take a stroll through the spa gardens. We enjoyed the walk. The old spa gardens, with their splendid flowers and many exotic trees, are definitely worth a visit. We advise against hiking the jungle trail; this short, thorny section will damage your clothing and lead to bleeding extremities. Unfortunately, the last section of the tour could not be recorded or photographed due to a lack of battery (and an apparently defective power bank).
