This route was planned by komoot.
The village of Codera stands at 825 m at the beginning of the valley and is the only place in Italy that is inhabited all year round without access.
Today's hike takes us to Val Codera in perfect hiking weather and with great views. We climb up to a mountain village (20 inhabitants) that is not connected to any road. Everything that is needed is grown by ourselves, brought on foot or delivered by helicopter. The descent should go via Tracciolino, an old railway line and through tunnels. Unfortunately, this path is closed due to rockfall, so we had to go back the same way, but that was completely fine.
